Cellulite

Cellulite is a condition that affects 85 percent of post-adolescent women. It is characterized by a bumpy, dimpled or "orange peel" look to the skin, and it generally appears on the thighs, buttocks, and arms.

After Treatment

The appearance of cellulite is thought to be caused by constricted circulation in the skin, swollen fat cells, and decreased elasticity of the skin's connective fibers. This non-surgical cellulite therapy is the only medically recognized way to address cellulite.

Call our office and schedule an initial consultation. We will discuss your goals, health history, and begin planning your progress toward an improved body image with SilkLight treatments.

How does it work?

A trained technician uses an instrument called SilkLight to administer this massage-like procedure. The instrument's handpiece is moved over the surface of your skin in a series of specific maneuvers, while precisely controlled pressure manipulates the skin and subdermal tissues. This therapy increases local circulation and stimulates the body's natural restorative process.

How soon can I expect results?

Many patients begin to see a decrease in cellulite after just seven or eight half-hour sessions. A complete course of treatments generally involves two sessions per week for seven to nine weeks. Afterward, a monthly maintenance session is often recommended.

Is cellulite therapy different from other cellulite treatments?

This therapeutic massage treatment is the only procedure that has been medically recognized for reducing the appearance of cellulite.
